It consists of the following sections:

• Invite a friend

Let’s learn more about each section.

Verification

This section provides an opportunity for our users to submit their documents to pass identity verification.

file

What are the advantages of KYC verification?

Identity verification provides the additional security of the user's account and funds. Identity verification prevents money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
How to pass identity verification?

You will have to fill out the form, upload photo(s) of your document and a selfie with your document and a sheet of paper with the required information. The process takes from three to five minutes.

Security

Security is an important section of the account. Here you can change or enable the following features:

Password change. We recommend changing a password every 30 days. Choose unique and complicated combinations, keep your password in a secure place and do not disclose it to any third party.

Address Management. Enabling the whitelist feature increases the security of your withdrawals. You will be able to withdraw funds only to the addresses added to this list.

Anti-phishing. After activating the anti-phishing feature, you can be sure that you receive letters definitely from WhiteBIT.

Two-factor authentication. 2FA is an extra layer of account security. It ensures that a user is the only person with access to the account, even if a third party knows their password. We highly recommend enabling it to prevent a potential unauthorized access to your account. Please take a moment to set it up.

You can learn more about enabling it in the 2FA section.

Sessions. Here you can always track your sessions. You have access to the following information about your current and past sessions:

• IP address;

• user agent;

• last activity time;

• the Terminate button for ending any session.

API

See the section titled API.

Referral program

It is a bonus program from WhiteBIT. You receive 40% of every trading fee paid by the people you invited. More details about terms can be found on this very page. The section includes your unique referral link, referral program calculator, information about your referrals and the history of the payments.

Balance

After registration on WhiteBIT exchange, each user has access to 4 types of Balance pages: Total, Main, Trade and Collateral.

When you make a deposit, all the assets go to your Main Balance. To start trading, you need to transfer them to your Trade Balance (or Collateral Balance if you want to start margin or futures trading). These balances are explicitly created to separate the assets and make the process of trading even more comfortable.

Total balance contains general information of all balances, it is always shown in USDT, as an equivalent the value is displayed in BTC.
In the total balance section, you can make deposits and withdrawals, and if deposits/withdrawals of a certain currency is closed, it is possible to subscribe/unsubscribe in order to receive notifications when they are available again.

Main balance is for depositing and withdrawing cryptocurrency and national currency. If you have balance on your account, you can create a code and open SMART Staking plan on the very same page (only with the coins/tokens available for plan opening).

You can find your funds on the Main balance:

• after depositing;
• before withdrawing;
• after interest for referrals accrued;
• before creating a WhiteBIT code;
• after activating a WhiteBIT code;
• before opening a SMART Staking plan;
• after a SMART Staking Plan is closed or ended.

Trade balance is intended solely for non-marginal trading (placing orders), as well as for the currency exchange.

There are 3 buttons in the line to the right of an asset:

• "Trade": to go to the trading page;
• "Transfer": to make a transfer between balances;
• "Exchange": to quickly exchange currencies at the market price.

In order to start trading, you need to transfer the necessary amount of funds from the Main balance to the Trade balance.
Using the “History” section next to the “Buy crypto” button, you can check the history of your trading transactions.

Collateral balance - total balance for margin and futures trading. The currencies only available for margin and futures trading are displayed. In order to start trading with 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x or 20x leverage or use futures trading, you need to transfer the necessary amount of funds from the Main or Trade balance to the Collateral balance.

API

Here you can generate the keys to use our multifunctional API.

To start working with API, you should enable 2FA (the further disabling of 2FA will deactivate all API keys).

Connection of trusted IP addresses, creation of webhooks, configuration and generation of new keys as well as their removal are conducted in this section.

Identity verification (KYC)

What is KYC and what is it for?

KYC is the verification of a user, the confirmation of their identity by requesting personal data. It is the abbreviation for “Know Your Customer” or “Know Your Client”.

Before passing identity verification, you can try our Demo Tokens and see how our trading tools work. However, identity verification is required for making any deposits and withdrawals, creating and aсtivating WhiteBIT Codes and using the Buy crypto option.

Also, KYC-verification helps to secure their account and ensure the funds safety. It is worth remembering that online verification indicates the exchange’s reliability. The platform that does not require any data is not liable to you. If you visit a crypto exchange with no identity verification required and hope to buy Bitcoin, take responsibility for possible risks. Besides, identity verification prevents money laundering and financing of terrorism.

How to pass the identity verification?

The process of verification is very simple. Submitting an application only takes a few minutes.

Log in to your account and go to the Verification section in the settings.
The identity verification section is only available to registered users who have logged in, and have not been verified yet.

• Fill in the personal information. Note that all the required fields should be filled out and the data should exactly correspond to the information in your document. file

• Upload a photo (or photos) of one of the documents proving an identity: a national passport, international passport, national ID Card or driving license. The picture cannot be cropped or edited.

• Take a selfie with your document and a sheet of paper with handwritten “WhiteBIT.com” and the current verification date.

• Wait for the document check to complete. Once your application has been processed, you will receive a letter via e-mail notifying you of the identity verification check results. Your status in the Verification section will change upon successful completion. If your application is rejected, the letter will also state the reason.
file

The users from Ukraine can pass simplified verification, which includes only filling out the form and uploading a photo of the document. They also can pass quick verification via the state Diia portal.

We have also created a short video which will help to easily understand the verification process.

Please note that currently we do not accept identity verification from citizens or residents of the following countries and territories: Afghanistan, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Palestine, Puerto Rico, Somalia, North Korea, the Northern Mariana Islands, the USA, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Transnistria, the temporarily occupied territories of Georgia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Northern Cyprus, Western Sahara, Ambazonia, Kosovo, Republic of Belarus, Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

How long should I wait for KYC to be checked? What should I do if I made a mistake in the application form?

Identity verification usually takes from 1 to 24 hours. All the requests are processed in order, so please have patience.

After your application is processed, you will receive an email with the information about the result. If your KYC information is disapproved, the email will also include a reason. Moreover, your identity verification status on the Verification page will be changed.

file
If you made a mistake during the verification process, just wait until the application is disapproved. You will then be able to submit your information for approval again. If you still have any questions, please contact our support team via online chat on the exchange (the icon in the bottom right corner of the site), a ticket or email support@whitebit.com.

Deposit / Withdrawal

Depositing a cryptocurrency

In order to start trading, you need to deposit funds into your account.

Each cryptocurrency asset is deposited separately on the "Total" or "Main" balance page. In the line with the currency ticker, you will see the corresponding "Deposit" and "Withdraw" buttons.

Let's try to make a deposit!

For example, in order to deposit Tether US (USDT), click Balances in the main menu at the top and select "Total" or "Main". Find the currency by the ticker 'USDT' and click the "Deposit" button. In the deposit form select the network via which the deposit will be made, copy the deposit address (with a button or QR-code) and use it on the sending platform. Please pay attention to the minimum deposit amount and fee.

If you use the mobile application, go to the Wallet section (Exchange mode), find USDT and tap Deposit. Then act in accordance with the previous instructions.

file

Any deposit into your WhiteBIT account is shown in your history (Deposit tab) and the funds are deposited to your main balance.

Please pay attention to the following important points!

• In the deposit window, always check the list of networks (token standards, respectively) which are supported on WhiteBIT. You can also check the network explorer of each individual coin by clicking the chain icon next to the ticker.
• Make sure the network you are going to use for deposit matches the network supported on WhiteBIT.
• Make sure you copy the deposit address of the correct network.
• Do not forget about the minimum deposit amount and Fees.
• Remember that there is a memo (destination tag) for some currencies like Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM). You will see it in the Your Memo field in the deposit window. Entering a memo on a sending platform is a prerequisite for your deposit to be credited.

Be careful, if you enter incorrect information while making a transaction, your assets may be irretrievably lost. Before making transactions, please make sure that the information you enter to send funds to your balance is correct.

Every cryptocurrency transaction requires a certain number of network confirmations; when it is reached, a deposit will be credited to your balance. You can find information about the required numbers of confirmations below, in the Number of Network Confirmations section.

If a deposit does not appear on your balance page please contact our support team by creating a Ticket on the website.
To make the processing easier, it should include:

  • a topic;
  • the e-mail you used to create your account;
  • a problem/question;
  • a transaction hash.

If you are sure it is so and your funds were withdrawn but did not reach your balance, please contact our support (via e-mail, chat or ticket) and we will check the information further and provide you with appropriate recommendations.

You can check payment systems, fees and minimum deposits on the Fees page.

You can also check the network explorer of each individual coin by clicking on the chain icon next to the ticker.
• Make sure that you enter the correct withdrawal address of the corresponding network.
• Remember that a memo (destination tag) can be required for some currencies on a receiving platform. Filling in the memo correctly is a prerequisite for your funds to be successfully credited. However, if a memo is not required on a receiving platform, just enter '12345' in the corresponding field.

Be careful, if you enter incorrect information while making a transaction, your assets may be irretrievably lost. Before each transaction, please make sure that the information you enter to withdraw funds from your balance is correct.

All withdrawals usually take from one minute to one hour to be completed. There may be exceptions if a network is overloaded. If you have any difficulty while withdrawing, please contact our support (via email, chat or ticket) and we will further verify the information and provide you with appropriate recommendations.

Withdrawing national currency

Each national currency is withdrawn separately on the "Total" or "Main" balance page. In the line with the ticker of a coin you will see the corresponding buttons Deposit and Withdrawal.

Let's try to make a withdrawal!

In order to withdraw US dollars (USD), for example, click Balances in the main menu at the top and then select "Total" or "Main". All withdrawals usually take from one minute to one hour. If you have any difficulties with a withdrawal, please contact our support (via email, chat or ticket) and we will further check information and provide you with appropriate recommendations.

Memo / Destination tag

To deposit and withdraw some cryptocurrencies, such as Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM), you must specify a memo, aka a destination tag. A memo / destination tag is a special identifier used in transactions.

When you deposit such funds, you should specify not only an address (Our Account), but also Your Destination Tag on the WhiteBIT exchange. Otherwise, a deposit will not be credited to the balance.

The withdrawal form with a memo looks like this:

file
When withdrawing such currencies, you also have to specify a destination tag which you can find out on the receiving platform. However, if the destination tag is not required on the receiving platform, just enter "12345" in the appropriate field during a withdrawal.

Number of network confirmations

The transaction confirmation process is necessary to prevent the same funds from being spent more than once. As soon as a sender transfers funds, a transaction enters a network to be completed and included in a block. It is the process of adding the transaction to the structure of a found block which is called the transaction confirmation. One new subsequent block equals one confirmation. Once your transaction reaches a sufficient number of confirmations, it receives the "successful" status and is credited to your balance.

The confirmation process speed depends on various factors, such as network load, transfer fees, speed of your internet connection, etc. On average, it takes from 30 minutes to several hours for a transaction to be confirmed. However, sometimes it can take from 2 to 14 days if the network is overloaded. Please note that the number of confirmations required for actual depositing of funds is determined by every receiving platform individually, for each particular currency, according to its own security standards.

WhiteBIT exchange has set the following numbers of confirmations required to successfully credit deposits to our platform:

WhiteBIT Token (WBT)

Advantages of WhiteBIT Token (WBT)

WBT is designed as a full-featured infrastructure product that unites the WhiteBIT exchange ecosystem and related projects.

Token holders receive the following benefits depending on the level of Owning or Holding:

  • Increased referral rate: referrers get an increased share of referral fees.
  • Reduction of trading fees: token holders have a new trading fee structure.
  • Removal of blockchain fees: users receive a certain number of free ERC20 and ETH token withdrawals per day, depending on the amount of WBT in Holding.
  • Free AML checks: users receive a certain number of free AML checks depending on the amount of tokens.

Part of the tokens is used to maintain the development and stability of the exchange as a whole with the help of special funds.

In addition, ERC20, TRC20 token contracts, escrow and vesting smart contracts were successfully audited by Hacken.

Other WBT benefits and activities will also be offered in the future.

What is Holding, and how does it work?

WhiteBIT exchange users have two ways to benefit from WBT:

  • by keeping tokens on the Main Balance (Owning);
  • by blocking tokens in Holding.

By choosing Holding, the user locks their tokens and cannot make any transactions with them. There are two ways to withdraw WBT from Holding:

  • instant withdrawal with a 10% fee;
  • fee-free withdrawal that takes 14 days.

Tokens that are in the process of withdrawal from Holding are not counted in Holding, but will be counted as tokens in Owning and will be added to the Main balance when the withdrawal is completed.

However, tokens in Holding are still considered as tokens in Owning. Users with WBT in Holding will be able to receive all the benefits.

The benefits of tokens in Owning:

file

WBT Holding provides WhiteBIT users with the following benefits:

  • Increased referral rate. Users who have transferred WBT to Holding get a bigger share of referral fees.
  • Token holders can enjoy a 100% discount on the maker's fee. The discount will be valid as long as there is enough WBT in Holding.
  • Removal of blockchain fees. Depending on the amount of tokens in Holding, holders are entitled to a certain number of free withdrawals of ERC20 and ETH assets per day.
  • Free AML checks. Holders are entitled to daily free AML checks.

Benefits for blocking tokens in Holding: file

How do I move funds to Holding?

To send funds to Holding, you need to:

  • Go to the WBT Boost page. This window will display information about the WBT token balance.
  • To the right of the WBT balance indicator, there will be a Transfer to Hold button.
  • Make sure that the funds are on the Main balance.
  • Click on the button, specify the amount in the window that opens, and confirm the action.

The changes will take place within a few minutes.

Can I withdraw my funds from Holding?

Yes. There are two ways to do this:

  • instantly, but there will be a fee of 10% of the withdrawal amount;
  • within 14 days; no fee is charged for such withdrawals.

Note that tokens that are being withdrawn from Holding are counted only as tokens in Owning and not in Holding.

Please pay attention to the following factors:

  • Tokens that are in the process of withdrawal from Holding are not counted in Holding, but will be counted as tokens in Owning and will be added to the Main balance when the withdrawal is completed.
  • If the fees are influenced by two factors, the most favorable factor will be taken into account.
  • The trading fee discount for Owning/Holding is applied exclusively to the standard trading fee (0.1%).
  • The fee may not be less than 0%.
  • Other promotions may also affect the terms of the affiliate program.
  • WhiteBIT reserves the right to change the WBT Holding policy at any time.

For more information about WBT, click here.

WBT Unlocking

Private sale. A part of tokens in the amount of 54 million WBT was sold in a private sale at $1.62 per 1 WBT. These tokens are locked for 3 months, after which 20% of them will be unlocked each month within 5 months.

The initial amount of private sale tokens (50-75 million) was limited to 54 million WBT to reduce the amount of unlocked tokens in the next rounds.

In addition to the amount of tokens sold in a private sale, 1 million WBT were added to WhiteBIT Launchpad as part of the IEO. These tokens will not be blocked.

Thus, the maximum total number of tokens in circulation during September will be 121 million WBT and 175 million WBT over the next 8 months.

25 million WBT were sent to the burner address 0x00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001, so that they would not be counted in the circulating supply: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x451fa272bb289e88e87f56c036160a8c126f1e1b77bbc0f61d87fd5ef4c196be

Unlocking Procedure. The remaining 200 million tokens will be allocated to special funds for the development of both WBT and the WhiteBIT project as a whole. They will be unlocked in the period of 3 years, starting with the final round of unlocking private sale tokens. The exact dates will be determined after the smart contract is deployed and will be included in future versions of this document.

Team and project tokens will be unlocked in the final round. Thus, the volume of the first three rounds will be about 60% of the treasury tokens, and in the final round – about 40%. The tokens allocated to the funds will be used in accordance with the funds' objectives.

Margin Trading

What’s Margin Trading?

Margin trading is a tool that involves the use of third-party funds to increase the capital used for making deals. The larger the deposit amount, the greater the profit potential. To start trading, the user must deposit a security deposit (margin), which depends on the leverage. You can see the drop-down list of leverage to choose from 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 20x.

In spot (traditional) markets, the maximum possible order amount is equal to a user’s balance. In the case of margin trading, users can trade amounts several times exceeding their current balance.

Example: A user has 1 BTC on their balance. With 5x leverage, they can potentially trade 5 BTC which will yield 5 times higher profit in case of success.

Leverage is the ratio of the loan amount to the margin – the amount of the trader’s personal funds that must be invested for the deal to occur. For example, to open an order for $500 and take advantage of 5:1 leverage, you need to invest your $100.

Example: A user has 1 BTC on their balance. With 1:10 leverage, they can trade 10 BTC. This means 10 times more profit in case of success.

Let’s consider an example of trading with 2x leverage.
Let’s say the cost of 1 BTC is 10,000 USDT. You have 5000 USDT but want to buy 1 BTC.
You can apply 2x leverage, get an additional 5000 USDT, and buy 1 BTC.
Next, you should wait until the price of 1 BTC increases, let's say to 11,500 USDT, and place a sell order.
Your profit will be 1500 USDT (trading fee not included). This is an example of opening a long position, waiting for the price to rise.

Trading with 1x leverage means that borrowed funds are not used, but funding may be accrued depending on the position and the market.
Funding is a dynamic fee that is charged for the use of borrowed funds.

The 3x, 5x, 10x, and 20x leverage work in the same way, increasing your own funds by 3, 5, 10, and 20 times. For example, if you have 100 USDT and want to trade with the 10x leverage, you can use 1000 USDT to make a deal.

To choose a leverage, the simple steps should be followed:

  1. Log in to your account on the exchange and open the Trade section in the upper left corner. Select “Margin” from the drop-down list.
  2. You will be redirected to the margin trading page, where you will see the Spot and Margin blocks in the lower right corner. Click “Margin” to see the drop-down list of leverage to choose from “1x”, “2x”, “3x”, “5x”, “10x”, and “20x”.

Margin is the number of pledge funds required to open a margin position. Users can trade with a larger balance by pledging fewer funds.

Example: A user has 1 BTC on their margin balance. To open a margin position of 0.5 BTC with 5x leverage, they need to provide 0.1 BTC of margin from the margin balance.

Margin trading fee

You must pay a commission of 0.098% daily when using borrowed funds.

WhiteBIT company updated the algorithm for using borrowed funds. Commissions will be considered if at least part of the placed order is executed.

This means that the fee for using borrowed funds will not have to be paid if the limit order with the use of leverage is not executed at all.

As a result, margin trading became more profitable.

What are positions, how do they differ?

A position is a margin trade aimed at profiting from the rate changes. There are two types of positions:

Long (buy) is a position in margin trading that is opened by a buy order using borrowed funds and aimed at profiting from the rate increase.

Example: A user has 10 000 USDT on their balance. The price of 1 BTC is 10 000 USDT. To open a Long position with 5x leverage, the user can buy 5 BTC and close the position when the price increases to 11 000 USDT for 1 BTC. In this case, profit equals 5000 USDT.

Short (sell) is a position in margin trading that is opened by a sell order using borrowed funds and aimed at profiting from the rate decrease.

Example: A user has 1 BTC on their balance. The price of 1 BTC is 10 000 USDT. To open a Short position with 5x leverage, the user can sell 5 BTC and close the position when the price decreases to 9000 USDT. In this case, profit equals 5000 USDT.

Profit & Loss (P&L) is an amount of change of an open position compared to the current price. Thanks to P&L a user can estimate how profitable a position is at a certain moment. It allows a user to analyze and make decisions about an open position.

Example:

A Long position is opened.

Opening price: 10 000 USDT

Quantity: 5 BTC

Leverage: 5x

Current price: 11 000 USDT

P&L at the moment will be equal to 5000 USDT or 10%.

What’s a Margin Call? What’s liquidation?

Suppose a trader incurs losses, and the margin becomes less than the minimum. In that case, they receives a margin call – a requirement to deposit more funds to the margin account for the margin to rise again to the minimum level. Otherwise, all the trader’s assets are liquidated to cover losses. Of course, it is the most unpleasant scenario that should be avoided by monitoring the market situation, closing unprofitable positions, and promptly reacting to margin calls.

A margin call is a notification of a user about the fact that the position is unprofitable and may be liquidated soon. Users are given an opportunity to respond to the current market situation with one of the following options:

• keep the position and increase it by replenishing the margin balance;

• completely close the position.

Margin Call is activated at the loss of 25% of the personal funds in the position (excluding leverage).

Example: A user has 2000 USDT on their balance and an open Long position for 1 BTC at the price of 10 000 USDT with 5x leverage. 20% (the amount of invested funds) is 2000 USDT. When this amount decreases to 15% of the total position amount (in this case, to 1 500 USDT), that means that the actual losses will reach 2000 - 1500 = 500 USDT, the user will receive a margin call.

Liquidation is an automatic closing of a position at the current market price and return of the borrowed funds which were used to open it.

Liquidation is executed at the loss of 50% of personal funds in the position (excluding leverage).

Example: A user has 2000 USDT on their balance and an open Long position for 1BTC at the price of 10 000 USDT with 5x leverage. 20% (the amount of invested funds) is 2000 USDT. When this amount decreases to 10% of the total position amount (in this case, to 1000 USDT), that means that the actual losses will reach 2000 - 1000 = 1000 USDT, the position will be closed automatically.

WhiteBIT Futures

What are perpetual futures contracts?

Perpetual futures contract is a futures contract that does not have a fixed execution date. That means you can hold your position open for as long as necessary. In addition, there is a mechanism designed to keep the price on the futures market as close to spot market prices as possible, unlike classic futures contracts.

How do futures contracts work?

Perpetual futures contracts are as similar as possible to our current margin trading mechanics:

• the customer can open Long and Short positions;
• the customer uses leverage.

The main difference is that users pay fees for the use of borrowed funds not to the exchange, but to each other. It can be both positive and negative, depending on the current market situation. Accrual occurs every 8 hours for all active positions, on the page of trades is always visible countdown to the time of accrual.

What benefits do I get from trading futures?

Low fees
Our platform has set fees for futures trading much lower than on the spot market.

High potential income
When trading futures you can use leverage, on our exchange you can choose leverage up to 20x. This allows you to gain access to an asset by paying only a part of its value.

Risk management
Futures contracts are a great way to back up your trading portfolio.
For example, you buy some $5,000 worth of an asset, expecting it to grow. And you can open a short position for just $500, using 10x leverage to hedge it. You'll risk $500 on futures if you don't close your position early, but if the price falls, you'll make money on it and protect yourself from your portfolio sagging. And if the market swings both ways, you can make money on every market movement.

Flexible trading strategies
You can make money even in a falling market by hedging your portfolio with small amounts, and you can make money on small price fluctuations with leverage.

Orders

Market and Limit order

A market order allows you to buy or sell an asset immediately at the current market price. Its advantage is an instant completion and its disadvantage is the fact that you cannot predict the exact price at which this order will be executed.

A limit order allows you to buy or sell an asset at a fixed price. Due to this, it will not be completed instantly but only when a counter order (or orders) appears for buying or selling funds at the price set by you. Moreover, the price specified in the order is removed from your trade balance and is reserved in the order.

Stop orders

A stop market order is completed when the market price reaches a price set by you in advance (the stop price). This type of order is often used to prevent losses in the context of market volatility.

A stop limit order has both the stop and the limit prices. When the specified market price at this pair is reached the order gets activated and is being completed as a basic limit order.

OCO order

OCO (One Cancels The Other) allows you to place a combination of two orders at the same time. It combines the limit order with a stop-limit, on condition that only one of them will be executed.

The feature of this order is that as soon as one of the orders is partially or completely executed, the second order is automatically canceled. Please note that the cancellation of one order will cause the cancellation of the other.

While trading on our exchange, you can use OCO orders to automate trades and manage risk.

Advantages of OCO order.

An OCO order is a simple but powerful tool that helps users trade in a safer and more flexible manner.

It allows you to place two orders at the same time, which can be useful for fixing profits and minimizing potential losses.

Before using OCO orders, we recommend that you familiarize yourself thoroughly with how limit and stop-limit orders work.

How to place an order?

Go to the Spot trading page and choose the desired trading pair in the Market window.

Below the graph, you will see the forms for buying / selling a cryptocurrency:

file

Select a necessary order among the suggested: Limit, Market, Stop-limit, Stop-market. After this, enter the required data: price, amount of coins / tokens (for stop-orders, also a stop-price). In Limit orders, after filling in the Amount field , the value of the Total field will be calculated automatically and vice versa.

Press the Buy / Sell button.

Please note that to place an order you should have your funds on the trade balance.

Done! Depending on the order type, it will appear in the Depth of market window immediately or when certain conditions specified by you are met.

You can track its execution or cancel it below on the same page or on the Active orders page.

file

How to place ОСО order?

Placing this type of order takes place in the terminal of margin or futures trading. Since an OCO order is a combination of a limit and stop-limit order, when placing it we need to specify:

  1. Price of the first order (limit).
  2. Stop price of the second order (stop-limit).
  3. Price of the second order (stop-limit).
  4. The sum of the order in stock.
  5. The sum of the order in money.

Then it is necessary to confirm action, and your order will wait for one of the conditions to be reached.

Can I cancel an Order?

Yes, you can cancel an order in case it has not been completed yet.

To cancel an order, please go to the Active orders page via the main top menu of the website.

Please note that if your order has been already executed, that means that you have completed a trade with another user, so it cannot be canceled.

I cannot cancel the order / Funds were not credited to the account

In case any difficulties arise, you can always contact our support team via the online chat on our website, create a ticket or send an email to support@whitebit.com and we will definitely help you! If you attach a screenshot of your issue, it will help us better understand your situation.

Where can I see the history of my orders?

You can view the history of your trades on the Orders - History page:

file

I issued a Buy Order for 100 coins, with only 20 coins credited to me. Why?

Partial order execution occurs when a counter order at this price has been placed for a smaller amount of assets.

Please wait until another order or orders at your price appear and your order is executed completely.

I placed an order but, for some reason, it is not accepted, although I can see cheaper Buy Orders being already processed. Why?

All orders are executed only by users of the exchange.

The administration of our platform does not accept, control or interfere with trading on the exchange. If you want to speed up the process, you can cancel the opened order and place a new one with a more competitive price.

Where can I see Buy Orders?

Buy Orders will be displayed on the main page or in the Trade section.

Post only

Added a toggle for placing limit orders - post-only.

When placing a limit order, you can set the toggle Post-only. With this toggle it is guaranteed that when executed, the order will work as a maker or will be cancelled by the system.

file

This toggle will be useful for those who have more favorable terms on maker fees and want to guarantee execution of an order with the maker role during trading on the market.

As a reminder, favorable terms for makers can be obtained with WBT holding. You can read more here: https://whitebit.com/wbt.

Decimal Token (DECL)

Why DECL?

Usually, centralized exchanges support a limited number of decimals for trading, and a lot of effort is required to change this setting. WhiteBIT supports the maximum of 8 decimals for asset prices. This means that the lowest price at which an asset can be traded is 0.00000001 USDT.

The decimal limitation resulted in a situation where tokens with tokens costing less than 0.00000001 USDT were technically non-tradable on the exchange. We received lots of requests from token communities who wanted to receive an opportunity to trade assets on WhiteBIT. Our team has come up with a simple yet effective solution by introducing Decimal Token.

Decimal token (DECL)

Decimal Token (DECL) is a brand-new intermediary asset aimed at enabling the trading of tokens the price of which is lower than 0.00000001 USDT. It is an exclusive (as of now) off-chain internal token with a stable price rate of 0.0001 USDT. The stability of the price is ensured by WhiteBIT providing order book liquidity.

Opening a trading pair with DECL will technically allow any asset to be traded with 12 decimals in the USDT equivalent. To make buying and selling DECL seamless for our users, we have enabled a permanent 0% trading fee for the DECL/USDT trading pair. Therefore, everyone will be able to buy and sell DECL in two clicks and without additional expenses.

Also, please note that you cannot deposit and withdraw DECL for now, since it is an internal off-chain asset.

How to use DECL ?

To use Decimal Token as an intermediary asset for trading with coins costing less than 0,00000001 USDT, take the following steps:

  1. Deposit USDT to WhiteBIT or buy it.
  2. Trade in the USDT/DECL pair to receive DECL (0% trading fee) or use the Exchange Service to swap directly.
  3. Buy your asset for DECL (the trading pair can be found in the ‘Stables’ section).

To sell your asset, just trade it back for DECL, and use the DECL/USDT pair to change it to USDT.
This is it! Start trading with DECL right now!

Exchange

How the exchange works?

To make an exchange, you need to be registered and logged in. You also need to transfer your funds from Main to Trade Balance.
It can be done on the same page: simply click the Transfer from Main balance button.
Go to the Exchange page in the Trade section and choose the pair you wish to exchange:

You can search a coin/token by the ticker or choose available from the list:

file

Once you enter the desired amount for an exchange in the I give field, the amount in the I receive field is calculated automatically. Remember that the funds should be on your trade balance.

If a currency is not in the I receive drop-down list, it means that the currency is currently not available for exchange.

Current rate shows the current rate of a selected pair and is updated every second.
Rate for 24 hours shows the daily rate change in percents and is updated every second.
Fee shows the fee in percents (a standard trading fee, 0.1%) and in a currency to which you exchange; it is updated every second.

Please pay attention to several key points:

• You should be registered and logged into your account to use an exchange.
• The amount in the I receive field is calculated at the moment of filling in the I give field. It is also regularly updated, be careful.
• You can use the MAX button which will transfer all your trade balance to the field or will fill it in according to the current maximum in the orderbook (if the amount on your Balance exceeds the one in the orderbook at the moment).

For example, if you place 10 BTC for an exchange (you have 10 BTC in total on the trade balance), and there are only 5 BTC in trades now, then 5 BTC will appear in the I give field when you click the MAX button.

• If you enter the amount in the “I give” field, but there are no offers to exchange the selected pair in the orderbook, then the “I receive” field will remain the same (0).
• If in the “I give” field you enter the amount that exceeds the available amount in the orderbook, you will see a notification about an error.
• If there are no orders available for a selected pair, the funds will be returned to your Balance.
• If you have closed all available orders for a selected pair, the remaining part of your funds will be returned to your Balance.
• The price may change during the exchange process.
• It is impossible to enter letters and special symbols (except for the point) in the fields I give/I receive.
• When a transaction is completed, the information about it will be displayed in History. The history of the last 5 transactions for the selected pair is available at the bottom of the page:
Click the Exchange button.
In the pop-up window, click Yes if all the fields are filled in correctly or Cancel if you would like to change the amount:

If you’re using the “Exchange” page for the first time, you need to agree to the User Agreement (once).
To do that, mark the check box near the “I agree to the User Agreement” field.

Done! The exchange is successfully completed!

What should I do if I faced any difficulties during an exchange?

Please send the following information to our support in the online chat, a ticket or a letter by our email support@whitebit.com:

• detailed explanation of an issue;
• screenshot which shows what went wrong exactly.

What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security for accounts. It ensures that the account owner is the only person who can access it, even if someone knows their password.

Once 2FA is enabled, you will need to enter a six-digit authentication code in addition to your password when logging into your account. This code is generated every 30 seconds in an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or its alternative).

We strongly recommend that all our users enable this security feature to prevent any potential unauthorized access to their accounts. This feature is essential to the security of your assets, so please find the time to enable it soon.

How to enable the two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Download the Google Authenticator app or its alternative from Google Play or AppStore. Open the Security tab on your account page and find the Two-Factor Authorization section there.

Crypto-assets risks warning

Important notice for residents in Spain

High risk investment product

  1. The value of investments and the returns obtained from them may experience significant upward and downward variations and the entire amount invested may be lost.
  2. Investments in early-stage projects involve a high level of risk, so it is necessary to properly understand their business model.
  3. The crypto-assets in the scope of the Circular 1/2022, of January 10, of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) are not covered by client protection mechanisms such as the Deposit Guarantee Fund or the Investor Guarantee Fund.
  4. The prices of crypto-assets are established without any mechanisms that ensure their correct formation, such as those used in regulated securities markets.
  5. Many crypto-assets may lack the liquidity necessary to allow an investment to be unwound without significant losses, since their distribution among investors, both retail and professional, can be very limited.

Technology risks

  1. Distributed ledger technologies are still in an early stage of development as many of these networks have been created very recently, so they may not be sufficiently tested and there may be significant failures in their operation and security.
  2. The registration of transactions in networks based on distributed ledger technologies is carried out through consensus protocols that may be susceptible to attacks that attempt to modify the register. If they were to be successful there would be no alternative register that backs up the transactions and hence the balances corresponding to the public keys and therefore all the crypto-assets could be lost
  3. The anonymity of crypto-assets can make them a target for cyber criminals, since if credentials or private keys are stolen the crypto-assets may be transferred to addresses that make their recovery difficult or impossible.
  4. The custody of crypto-assets is a large responsibility since they can be lost in their entirety in the event of theft or loss of private keys. The entities that carry out the custody of the advertised crypto-assets are the WhiteBIT Group companies in accordance with the User Agreement.

Legal risks

  1. The acceptance of crypto-assets as a means of exchange is still very limited and there is no obligation to accept them.

  2. The service provider is established in a European Union country. When the service provider is not established in a European Union country, the resolution of any conflict could be costly and fall outside the jurisdiction of the Spanish authorities.

  3. Users should note that crypto-assets are held by WhiteBIT in custodial digital wallets (“Wallets”). This means that users do not hold the private keys to those Wallets and are consequently not the direct holder of the crypto-assets in those wallets. WhiteBIT owns the private keys of Wallet addresses and ensures the safety of Users' assets, and such private keys are not provided to Users. Users retain all rights to use such crypto-assets and have online access to them through the WhiteBIT Platform, as specified in the User Agreement
