Leading Ukrainian charities accept crypto donations via Whitepay

Top charitable foundations in Ukraine now accept crypto donations thanks to Whitepay’s technical solution. $54M in crypto in 3 weeks: Whitepay’s impact

In February 2022, Whitepay became a partner of the presidential initiative UNITED24, which raises funds for military and humanitarian support of Ukraine.

Through this partnership, WhiteBIT, via its crypto processing service Whitepay, enabled donations in most national currencies and over 100 cryptocurrencies. In just the first three weeks of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s crypto fund raised over $54 million.

WhiteBIT wins “Responsible Country 2.0” award

In 2023, WhiteBIT was named the winner of the “Responsible Country 2.0” social initiatives competition by leading media outlet MMR.ua with support from Delo.ua.

Winners were selected based on online voting and expert jury evaluations. WhiteBIT’s winning case was titled: “WhiteBIT: Promoting the Culture of Crypto Donations.”

Coworking hub for civil society: WhiteBIT’s contribution

In April 2024, WhiteBIT and Whitepay supported the creation of the NGO Space Civil Society Center in Dnipro.

This hub became a coworking space for 25 organizations and communities relocated to Dnipro or actively working near the frontline.

WhiteBIT joined fundraiser with lifecell and the Prytula Foundation

In January 2024, WhiteBIT became the crypto partner of the “Hear Your People” fundraiser launched by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation and mobile operator lifecell.

The goal was to provide the Ukrainian military with reliable radio communication. Donations could be made in cryptocurrency via Whitepay’s infrastructure.

Crypto community raised 141% of the target for Azov Brigade

In December 2024, a joint fundraiser by WhiteBIT, Whitepay, and AZOV.ONE concluded with a total of 103,139.71 USDT raised — 141% of the original goal.

This is another example of the growing role of digital assets in modern fundraising and philanthropy. More funds meant more next-gen night vision devices for fighters from the Azov Brigade.
